Description: This introductory presentation explores the exciting role of therapists in the use of Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP) for the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood disorders. This presentation will provide an overview of history, chief constructs, practical application, and new developments in the use of psychedelics in psychotherapy with a focus on the use of currently approved modalities (e.g., Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy). Participants will explore the benefits of PAP/KAP, contraindications for PAP/KAP, and educational/certification options for clinicians interested in pursuing formal training in PAP/KAP.

Learning Objectives:

This workshop is designed to help participants:

1) understand the benefits of PAP/KAP for the treatment of mood disorders,

2) identify client populations that may benefit from PAP/KAP,

3) evaluate contraindications for PAP/KAP,
