Katherine “Cass” Brown Capel, Ph.D. clinical psychologist in Sacramento, and long time  SUPPORT GROUP FACILITATOR  and Program Director for  Save Ourselves  Breast Cancer Resource Center  is our presenter for this course:

  • Description of the course:  Breast cancer has reached epidemic proportions in the last 25 years with one in eight women receiving a diagnosis during her lifetime.  Despite the prevalence of this disease, healthcare providers often fail to appreciate the internal world of the patient, as do their friends, families and colleagues.  This lack of understanding often leaves the breast cancer patient feeling more alone, and helpless, making it harder for them to rally their internal forces that are needed for making this a Heroes Journey. 2 CE hrs are approved by the California Psychological Association for psychologists, MFT and LCSW licenses
